Service History

2004 Honda S2000 GT in Nürburgring Blue with premium blue leather sports seats, blue mohair electric soft-top, and factory hard top.

A collector-grade example, meticulously preserved with just 16,763 miles and an incredible documented history.

Originally sold to its second owner, Mr Dann, in 2005, this car was cherished for over a decade by a die-hard S2000 enthusiast before being acquired in 2017 by a serious car collector. It has been stored in an air-conditioned facility ever since, started and run up to temperature monthly, but not driven on the road.

The extensive history file confirms that this S2000 has never been used in the wet since 2005. It remains 100% factory original, with no paintwork and only two tyres and a battery ever replaced. The original sales receipt, every invoice, and even the dealer windscreen hangers used during servicing are included. The car will come with a fresh Honda service and 12 months MOT.

About the Honda S2000:

This MY04 facelift model benefits from key handling improvements over the original UK S2000, including revised suspension geometry and a softened rear end, making it more composed at the limit.

Unlike the US AP2 cars, UK models retained the legendary 9,000rpm, 2.0-litre VTEC engine, paired with one of the sweetest 6-speed manual gearboxes ever produced. Many enthusiasts consider the MY04-05 models the best of the range, offering the ideal balance of pure driving dynamics without added electronic assistance.

With a collector-grade UK S2000 recently setting a record at auction, selling for over £35,000, this example offers exceptional value.

Whether as an investment-grade modern classic or a beautifully preserved weekend driver, this car represents a rare opportunity for the next custodian.

We are very lucky to have acquired this incredibly special Honda S2000 GT here at Opposite Stock.

Unlike the initial UK S2000, which was renowned for spikey and difficult handling traits on the limit, the facelifted MY04 S2000 benefitted from a number of upgrades – including a change in ride height and a slight softening of the rear end, in addition to a brand-new colour option of ‘Nürburgring Blue’, changes to the interior and other subtle styling tweaks.

Unlike the US ‘AP2’ cars, the UK cars retained the legendary 9000rpm, 2-litre power unit, which is mated to one of the sweetest 6-speed manual gearboxes ever produced for any road car! Many see the MY04-05 cars as the pick of the bunch, with MY06 onwards having more electronic nannying and increased weight.

The car we have here is a truly jaw-dropping example. It was sold to its second owner, Mr Dann, at a year old and this incredibly fastidious gentleman and die-hard S2000 enthusiast cared for the car until mid-2017, when it was snapped up by a serious car collector who has had the car in an air-conditioned storage facility ever since. The car has been religiously started and run up to temperature on a monthly basis throughout this period but has not been out on the road.

The incredible file of documented history we have for the car provides written evidence that the car has never been used in the wet since it was acquired by Mr Dann in 2005 and – as a result – its condition genuinely beggars belief. This car is 100% factory original, has never had paint, and the only parts it has ever had replaced are two tyres and a battery.

Original sales receipt and every invoice is present evidencing its full service history at Honda main dealers and we even have the dealer windscreen hangers used to identify the car while it has been in for service. The car will come with a fresh service from Honda and 12 months MOT.

The car’s spec is truly beautiful – finished in Nürburgring Blue, with premium leather blue sports seats, premium mohair electric soft-top (blue), and a factory hard top. Full spec listed below.

With a collector-grade earlier UK S2000 making a world record at auction just two weeks ago – fetching over £35,000 inc fees – we believe this example offers tremendous value for money and would be a wonderful addition to any serious collection, or a gorgeous car to be used on sunny days by a genuine enthusiast and cherished in the future the way it has been until now.

Viewing is highly recommended. Any inspection welcome.
